And how is the world violence today
the universe has to know what we have to say
we think our ideas are buzzing
but weapons are blazing
and no one seems to care
oh how long will this madness fare
if only you would really care
oh how far has hope has to travel today
because we are not alone
while we wish to be left alone
as we hunger for revelations
while entire nations suffer in famine
we sadly cry our consternation
hopping no one dare to examine
our deceptions forged when we were alone
oh how long will this madness fare
if only you would really think
oh how has hope begun to blink
when i look at my personal life today
I've learned that i have really nothing new to say
the day started with simple beginnings
to end with joyfully clear lucid dreaming
all my problems have been kept at bay
oh how peacefully simple I've learned to care
if only you would honestly tell me how you fare
oh how far has hope come to reveal peace for you today
Just a simple plan
for a simple clan
honest commitment for those who love us
daily honing of God given skills to leave no rust
oh how far and peaceful we can go today
aware of our actions is the only ground where we stand

It all passes away ... in cycles
momentarily shows green grass
winter, spring blend hope

Here is an old haiku from Ryokan:
Chestnuts fall covering;
Please waiting for the moonlight
On the mountain path![]()
